On the record · What MPs have done

It’s working.

4 MPs have acted on constituents’ letters, taking the asks to the Home Secretary, the Home Office and the Minister for Safeguarding.

An MP's action appears here only after the campaign has seen the evidence: their reply, or the official parliamentary record. A promise is listed as a promise, never as action taken.

An area appears here only once we have checked the evidence. Not listed means not yet checked, not ignored.

How to light up your area

    1. 1Write to your MPThe letter is written for you. It takes about two minutes.
    2. 2Tell us you've sent itEmail your constituency and the date sent. Our count comes from what supporters tell us.
    3. 3Forward their replyWhen your MP answers, just forward it to us. That's it. We check what they've said and add it to the map.

      For MPs

      Your constituents are watching.

Letters from your constituents light your area gold. What you do next decides what the map shows.

      • CommitTell your constituents in writing what you will do and by when. Once we have seen it, your area turns blue: promised, not yet done.
      • ActTake the asks to the minister and send us the evidence. Once we have checked it, your area turns white.
      • ★
Raise it in ParliamentTable a question or speak in a debate, and send the link to the official record. Once checked, your area earns a gold star.
      • Stay silentIf a constituent tells us they have had no reply after 20 working days, your area turns red. It clears as soon as you reply.

Already acted? Tell us what you've done. We'll check it and update the map.

Got a reply from your MP?

Forward it to us. It takes seconds, and it's the most useful thing you can do after sending your letter. We check what your MP has promised or done and add it to the map.

      1. Open your MP's reply in your email.
      2. Tap Forward.
      3. Send it to this address:

Before forwarding, delete your address, phone number and anything else you don't want the campaign to have. The map only ever shows a count for each constituency and what the MP did. It never shows who wrote.

      Can't forward it?

      • White The MP has acted, and we have checked the evidence.
      • ★Star Raised in Parliament, checked against the official record.
      • Red A constituent has told us they had no reply after 20 working days. It clears as soon as the MP replies.

      646 areas are still dark.

Every dark area has children the system could still fail. No one spoke for Preston in time. Send this to one person today. Two minutes could light another area.

      • We can’t see what you search. Your postcode only finds your area. We never save it.
      • We can’t access your phone. Buttons only copy text or open your own apps. Nothing is installed.
      • We never see who you are. The map shows a count per area, never who wrote.
